Dejavu all over. Huricane Gustav came in Monday Sept. 1 and hit the Louisiana coast. It came through Baton Rouge with top winds of 91 miles per hour. It is listed as the worst storm ever. Today it is 4 days after the storm and 85% of the state is without any power. Out of 14 grids we lost 13 and it is expected to take 8 weeks to rebuid the grids to get the state up and running.
Tony Perkins with the Family Research Council has been in contact with Pastor Frank and Committed Relief about needing volunteers desperately to come in as there is no food or fuel. due to no power to run pumps and open stores.
Committed Relief has numerous teams coming out to assist. If interested in volunteering please contact Scott Crawford at Committed Relief.
Thanks for all you prayers. What another great opportuntity to express the love of Christ.

Welcome to Calvary Chapel Bay St Louis
"A Caring Place For A Hurting World."
Terri & I are so excited that you chose to visit our site. People matter to God and that makes you a very important person. Our heart is to reach out with the love of Christ to the hurting, wounded, the lost and to empower the believers. We believe God has called Calvary Chapel Bay St. Louis to be "a caring place for a hurting world." And the most dynamic, effective way in which we express our faith is by reaching out to others. It is our desire to meet our community's needs in all aspects of spiritual growth, from someone who is meeting Jesus for the first time to a believer who has walked with Him through many seasons. Wherever you are in your spiritual journey, Calvary Chapel Bay St Louis would like to welcome you and encourage you in Christ-whether it's in intensive Bible study, serving alongside other believers, or in opportunities of fun and fellowship with those who have also embraced Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Calvary Chapels are known nationally for their dedication to the expositional teaching of God's Word and for a balanced blend of the Spirit's power to educate, edify, and empower every believer. The pillars of which we are established on is God's Word, Prayer, Worship and Fellowship. We hope that if the Lord leads you into our fellowship, we will be able to share the experience of growing together.
In His grip,
Frank & Terri Griffin
